The company Autoverhuur Wouters from Begijnendijk has chosen the rental module of WACSSuite in SaaS-concept.
Four users will be using this tool for a period of 6 months to start with. Then, they can decide whether they want to buy or hire the tool.

Groep Van Doorne kiest voor WACSfleet
De groep Van Doorne, die 14 bedrijven groepeert, waarvan 10 in de autobranche, heeft beslist te werken met het systeem WACSfleet (ontwikkeld door de Oostendse onderneming SWAC International) voor de optimalisering van het vlootbeheer. Het systeem wordt voorgesteld aan de transporteurs klanten van de concessies TTA Antwerpen, TTA Houthalen en de verhuurder Dif-Rent (drie bedrijven van de groep Van Doorne) via een toegang tot de portaalsite van de groep. More efficient fleet management realizes 150 million € for European companies.

Efficiënt wagenparkbeheer brengt 150 miljoen euro op voor Europese bedrijven
Een goed doordacht wagenparkbeheer kan Europese bedrijven gemiddeld 900 euro per auto per jaar besparen. Dat is één van de belangrijkste conclusies van het nieuwe pan-Europese Car Policy onderzoek van GE Capital Solutions. De leasemaatschappij ondervroeg 700 klanten in 9 Europese landen over hun wagenparkstrategie. Met meer dan 170.000 wagens verspreid over de ondervraagde vloten loopt het totaal dat Europese bedrijven kunnen besparen jaarlijks op tot meer dan 150 miljoen euro.
Alleen al door zuiniger om te springen met brandstof zou een bedrijf jaarlijks 96 euro per auto besparen. Een beter management van de autoverzekeringen brengt gemiddeld 60 euro per auto per jaar op.
Voorts leggen in 3 van de 4 bedrijven de leasewagenbestuurders hun privé-kilometers af met brandstof die door het bedrijf wordt betaald. Een opvallend feit, volgens GE Capital Solutions, omdat geweten is dat slechts 38% van de chauffeurs een eigen bijdrage betaalt voor het privé-gebruik van de wagen.
Het Europese onderzoek van GE Capital Solutions gebeurde onder impuls van een team experts van Key Solutions. Dat is een consultancyprogramma dat fleet managers helpt om hun wagenpark efficiënter en milieuvriendelijker te maken en vooral om kosten te kunnen besparen. (SP)

SWAC links TMW with Transics board computers.

SWAC International has taken care of the interface between the Transport Management System TMW and the TXMax of Transics. This interface was made for Transport Van der Wal in Utrecht (NL).
This means that orders and rides can be sent immediately to the driver, who can automatically sign out the different legs of the journey in TMW. Because of this, it saves time on the one hand, and a more efficient communication between the dispatch and the drivers on the other hand.
The goal is to equip all trucks on January 1st 2009 with a board computer that is monitored by TMW.

DAF-dealers Groep Van Doorne, TTA, TTL and Dif-Rent made a very important decision today. They chose WACSfleet, the fleet management system SWAC developed. Next to the general modules Order management, Planning and Maintenance contracts these DAF-dealers, especially Dif-Rent will implement the Leasing module and the new module Used Trucks.

Today the 5th European Round Table took place at Transport Van der Wal in Utrecht. The Round Table is a conference composed of the different European TMW customers which takes decisions on the evolution of the TMW software within Europe for the following years. This product advisory board annually elects a new chairman, who takes up office in September for a one-year period. From Transforum 2008 (the yearly TMW congress in the US) on the chairman will be Ben Rowe from. TMW is developing the previously voted functionality, Visual Dispatch Advantage. SWAC International plays here, as contact for the European customers, a coordinating part.

SWAC International, European reseller of the transport management system TMWSuite succeeded recently in the integration with Intertour, PTV-Ordis’ planning system of the trips. The integration with Intertour is a new step in the real time planning optimization process that TMWSuite offers.
With this integration, the planning data are prepared optimally in order to provide the tools of TMWSuite the required data so the dispatcher can take the most efficient solution.

The head quarters of Transport Van der Wal in Utrecht (the Netherlands) uses from now on TMWSuites, an american transport management system, deveolped by TMW Systems. One of the trump cards of the system is its graphical board tabel, by which the profitability of the trips can be calculated immediately. The product is launched on the european market by SWAC International, a belgiam company specialized in software systems and consultancy in the branches of transport, distribution and automotive.
